How to Save Time with a Spin Dryer
Your time is one of your most important commodities. You’re a very busy person and anything that wastes your time is something you work to eliminate. When it comes to the laundry, it’s something that has to be done because you require clean clothes. Whether you’re a single person doing just your own laundry or someone who is responsible for providing clean clothes to a spouse and children, you don’t want to spend all day doing the laundry because you have a lot of other things to do.
You can save a great deal of time with a spin dryer added to your laundry appliances. You may be thinking, “Why would I want to add another piece of laundry equipment to my washing routine?” If so, it’s a logical question to wonder, especially when you aren’t aware of the benefits you can obtain with a spin dryer. For the slight trouble of finding a place to store your spin dryer, you can gain access to a world of benefits.
Using a spin drying provides you with a way to remove added water from your clothes once they are done washing. The process is simple. You place the clean clothes into the basket or hopper inside the spin dryer, make sure the lid is fastened securely and start the spin. In a matter of a few minutes, clothes are nearly completely dry and may only require a few minutes in the clothes dryer or be able to hang and complete the drying process.
This equates to more time saved when you take into consideration the shortened dryer time for clothes. You can also save money on your utility bill because a spin dryer will consume far less electricity than a regular dryer. The average drying time to dry a full size load of clothes or other items in the dryer can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more, depending on the weight of the fabrics being dried. With a spin dryer, you can reduce the amount of time that items are in the dryer by a significant amount.
If you prefer to wash clothes in smaller loads, you will find that using a spin dryer virtually eliminates the need to use another dryer. This is because clothes are spun almost completely dry. Avoiding the use of heat to dry your clothes also helps to preserve the integrity of the fabric which is important when it comes to delicate fabrics that don’t take heat well.
You won’t have to hang lingerie and other items in the bathroom or outside anymore with a spin dryer because they will spin free of water and most of the moisture in a fraction of the time. When you have a busy lifestyle with many demands, owning a spin dryer can create some time to do things other than laundry by decreasing the amount of time it takes to dry your things. You’ll never feel like laundry is a time waster again when you use a spin dryer.

The water down the toilet thing? Which way does it go and why?
I've heard so many reasons why the water spins down the toilet one way in some places, and other ways in other places. Does anyone know the actual reason why water goes down the toilet/plug hole in the way that it does?

Is there a plce on earth where it simply drops straight down without spinning?
Ok so if it's one way in one hemisphere and the other in another way, there must be a point or more across the earth where it goes Neither ways?! What happens then??
You are referring to the "Coriolis Effect".
This has become a popular myth, that water will always go down the drain in one way in the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth, while it goes the opposite way in the Southern Hemisphere.
The real reason is actually the momentum the water has as it leaves the outlet (whether a faucet/tap, toilet cistern, etc.).
As the water leaves the outlet, it is rushing out of the pipe. The water will actually hit the toilet/sink at a slight angle. That angle, plus any momentum the water has, is what causes it to swirl in a particular direction.
If you fill a sink with water and leave it for some time before GENTLY pulling the plug, you should notice no swirling of the water. That swirling is a good thing though, as it helps keep the water trap clean and also helps it to drain more quickly.
Manufacturers realized this and so in some sinks, you will actually see the plughole has a spiral metal shape cut into it, to help the water start swirling.
