can a leather jacket get ruined by rain?
I have bin thinking to buy a aviator/bomber jacket lately but im worried about the rain I want these kinds of jackets there not new but there vintage in very good condition anyways would one of them be good with rain? like not get ruined I heard normal smooth leather stands water a little but definitely not suede which one should I get?

I mostly want the second one the brown one but still want some suggestions
I wear some bomber and biker leather jackets, and they've been in the rain with no apparent harm. I have a friend who paints on leather with special leather paints he thins with water, and the leather resists the water-diluted paint, so he has to rework it until it dries in thirty minutes or so. I think suede can be discolored by much rain and have darker spots. I'd buy the smooth leather one to be safe.
