Share housing - cost effective ways to furnish your place

If you're about to move into a share house, or already live in one, decking out your new place with all kinds of gadgets, decorations and awesome fittings can be the most fun part. Yet it can also become the most expensive, if you get carried away. While it's tempting to head straight to IKEA and spend up a storm on trendy coffee tables or foldaway bookshelves/wardrobes/toilets, there are a number of more budget friendly ways to have people commenting on what a skilled interior decorator you are.

Consider what you already have – all the people living in the house may already have some appliances, electronics or white goods that they'll be willing to share with everyone else in the house or flat, so make sure you don't rush out to buy anything that you already have. The money you'll save by pooling your appliances can go towards that Star Wars themed pizza cutter you need to have for the kitchen.
Consider renting appliances that you need – If you've only signed a short term lease of a year or so, you can easily rent home appliances or any other electronics. Computer rental and laptop rental are also other options if you don't already have your own, and it can even be a great way to save money if you split the cost of a certain piece of technology between everyone in the house. Bonus: there are no arguments over who gets to keep the TV when you all move out…
Buy second hand – If you don't want to rent appliances, second hand doesn't have to mean ugly or old. Charity stores often have a great range of vintage appliances often in perfect working order, and furniture such as couches and tables that are clean and ready for your new home, all at a fraction of the price you'd get them for if they were brand new. Garage sales may seem outdated, but are still another great way to pick up good quality second-hand goods for next to nothing, and you can always re-garage-sell things.
Make your own decorations – Your home should be somewhere you enjoy spending time and feel relaxed, comfortable, and inspired by what's around you. With the money you save on appliances, you can spend a little more time and effort decorating your place with a little DIY effort. Home interior and design websites offer heaps of great ideas on how to make your own quirky decorations, storage spaces and wall hangings, as well as a whole bunch of other things you never thought of – coffee can lanterns anyone?

split ends.?

right now my hair is 5.5 inches below my shoulder and the same style as eva longoria.

but i have sooooo many split ends.

but if i cut off my split ends my hair will be up to my shoulder.

i really dont wanna do that?

can i leave them?

what will happen if i leave them?

i get like trims once every 3/4 months , but it never gets rid of all the split ends. and the hairdresser is not bad i pay like $50 (£100) for it.

can i keep my split ends or do i really need to cut them off

cos i dont want to

so would it be that bad if i keep them?

any other ways of getting rid either than cutting?

thanks

sorry i meant ($100) lol its an expensive hairdresser

You can leave the split ends but, it'll just split down the hair shaft and make your entire head of hair look unkempt. Cut the split ends but make sure the hair dresser uses an uber-sharp scissor. (Dull scissors will create split ends.) You also have to make sure that your hair stays hydrated. People tend to hydrate the hair closest to the root but it the ends of the hair that really needs the hydration. So, in the mornings, grab your hair and add a little leave in conditioner tot the ends whether you just washed the hair or not. That'll help you in your battle against split ends.
