Are Bait or Lures best for carp and golden perch fishing?
Hello, I live in New South Wales, Australia. I am going fishing and I wanted to know if lures or bait would work better. What ever one (If you could, please tell me both), can you please tell me like this...

I have no idea about golden perch. As for carp, they are vegetarians/junk eaters. They very, very, VERY rarely eat anything that looks to be alive. So lures are not a very good choice for them. If you are fly fishing, though, you can buy carp flies which work fairly well.
Personally, if I'm ever in the mood to catch carp, corn is my go-to. I like to toss the water that's in the can of corn into the water, then just put a couple kernels on a hook and you're good to go. I usually use a size 6 trout hook and about 1/8-1/4 weight.
Bread balls work also. I have even had decent luck on cantaloupe.
Edit: Forgot to mention, corn is not allowed i certain lakes, so make sure to check with your fish and game department before using it.
