The Lake of the Ozarks exhibits different entertainment and enjoyments for tourist and visitors of all ages. The Lake can be compared to modern yet particular portions of this area which are purposely preserved and untouched to maintain natural, historical images. After a long day of adventure and fun, experience all the Lake has to offer in its dynamic nightlife.
The Horny Toad at Toad Cove is one of the most visited nightclubs in the area. Music here is great as they have many outdoor concerts throughout the season. Some of the bands have included Willie Nelson, REO Speedwagon, Liverpool and Brett Michaels. Jeremiah's Nightclub is located on the second and third floor to the Toad Entertainment complex. They have three bars on two levels and decks overlooking the lake.
Shady Gators was voted best live entertainment in 2008. Shady Gators has tons of great live music and a great menu of Cajun cuisine. Located next door is its partner business Lazy Gators. Lazy Gators is where you can enjoy all that fun entertainment you've been looking for. Here you can enjoy a swim up bar, tiki bar, state of the arc lounge chairs that you can enjoy your favorite drink by the lake. Lazy Gators is famous for its foam parties and swimming pools. It is a must visit place at the lake.
Topsider Tiki is a fun place to go by boat or car. They have live bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Topsider is a nightclub with high-tech lighting and sound system. Located in the same building is the Poop Deck which has multi level decks with a swimming pool. There is also a tiki bar located on the waters edge. Here you can sit back, relax and take in the view of the beautiful lake. The atmosphere heats up at night when the band starts.
If you want a different mood and comedy is your interest, City Grill and Blue Room is the best place to go. Famous and popular comedians stop by here every Wednesday night. The first Thursday of every month is Executive Ladies Night featuring manicures, pedicures, massages and martinis. Live DJ's play the top 40 dance music as you are sure to dance the night away. The City Grill also has a sports bar with 33 TV's.
The Celebration Cruise is a fun way to enjoy the Lake. They offer a variety of public cruises including watching the fireworks display on major holidays. You can also ring in the New Year on their New Year's Dinner and Party Cruise. They offer great lunch and dinner cruises with experienced and friendly wait staff. This will be a most memorable experience at the Lake.
If sports are what you want, Pickled Pete's is the place for you. They have 16 televisions so you won't miss your favorite team. They even have TV's in the bathrooms. You can also enjoy a game of darts, foosball, pool or video games. Pickled Pete's is open year round. Stop by on Saturday nights for dancing and Karaoke.
Backwater Jack's is the perfect way to spend the evening listening to live music at the tiki bar. Here you can watch the boats roll in while enjoying your favorite music Wednesday thru Monday. You can also grab a bite to each as they serve coastal cuisine.
The Main Street Music Hall is a great place to go. They are celebrating their 15th season of spreading unforgettable entertainment to the Lake area. You will enjoy comedy, classic country, gospel and patriotic music. The Main Street Music Hall is an ideal hangout for friends and families. It is a nice way of filling the night with great music and comedy by audiences of all ages.

Does anybody have a horny toad?
My Kids brought home a horny toad and want to raise it as a pet. But it doesn't want to eat anything. We have tried just about anything. I am beginning to think they don't live outside of their environment. Does anybody have any suggestions
Dragon Tears has a fairly good answer.
Lain, there are different subspecies of horned lizards, and different laws in different states. Some horned lizards are protected in some areas. Some can be legally collected. It is your responsiblity to know if yours is legal or not.(the link below can help with I.D.)
I kept a desert horned lizard(legally collected) for a few years. It got by, but I would be lying if I said it did great, and I have sucessfully cared for many, many species of reptiles over the years. Most horned lizards kept in captivity will eat just enough to squeak by, but slowly shrivel up and die over the coarse of about 3-6 months, and thats if they eat at all.
My honest advise- take a few pics of it and let it go asap. Unless you do have some significant reptile experience- then you could try, but it will take some work.
Horned lizards are for advanced keepers only, and even some of them fail.
If your kids really want a lizard, research a few of the available captive types and pick one out that works for you(and is good for beginners-no iguannas or monitors), prepare for it first, then get it. It will be so much more sucessful and less stressful too.
