Guy Riordan Talks Fishing: What to Expect in Saltwater Fishing

According to Guy Riordan, various charter companies provide different fishing adventures.  And what the charter companies can offer, says Guy Riordan, may also depend upon the current season.  "Take the snook for example," explains Guy Riordan. "If those are caught in the ‘off season' from May 1st till September 1st, they have to be released."  Many good fishing charter companies will know the good times of year in which to catch a particular fish, points out Guy Riordan.

As well, adds Guy Riordan, a charter company can educate a novice fisherman on the types of fish and what sort of challenge will be given.  "Take a tarpon for example, you cannot eat them, but they are known for their fight and huge leaps out of the water," says Guy Riordan.  A redfish, states Guy Riordan, is another fish known to test even the most experienced fisherman.  "Whereas the sea trout is most likely to end up on a plate and are a great beginning fisherman fish," compares Guy Riordan.  A good saltwater fishing charter company, reminds Guy Riordan, will help any experienced level fisherman with their knowledge.

While targeting a particular species, says Guy Riordan, a fisherman can expect to catch other sorts of fish.  "Snapper, gag and types of grouper will probably be snagged when fishing off the coast of Florida," states Guy Riordan.  According to Guy Riordan, it just comes with saltwater fishing that while targeting a particular species, other fish common to the area will be caught.

"I would also suggest selecting a charter company with U.S. Coast Guard approval," notes Guy Riordan.  For the avid outdoorsman, this approval means that safety is ensured.  "Even better is finding a fishing charter company where a majority of the captains have attained their Master Captain's license from the Coast Guard," adds Guy Riordan.

"On the day of the trip, people need to bring plenty of sunscreen and plenty of water to drink," cautions Guy Riordan.  A hat and polarized sunglasses for the sun and a jacket for the often-quick sea rainstorm is recommended as well, adds Guy Riordan.  "Safety and protection is first, and then having a great experience is next in the line of priorities," concludes Guy Riordan.

What color? (Fishing Polarized Glasses)?

I am looking to buy polarized glasses for fishing to be able to get read of the glare and see fish underwater. I was just wondering if color of the glasses matter? Should I be matching the color of the glasses to the color of the water or it doesn't really matter or works differently?

Thanks
Please explain me what color should I go with in what case. I don't need any links where I can buy glasses. I want to be able to figure what I need and where I need it, that's why I need to learn this stuff first.

I dunno, color really hasn't been a big deal with me. I wear prescription eye glasses with dark gray Transitions lenses and they're polarized. They do pretty good.

What brand you should go by? No idea.
